Responsibilities

Formulations & Process Development

  • Lead the development of new formulations and product improvements from concept through commercialization, aligned with company strategy.

  • Conduct process development and stability studies, ensuring scalability and successful pilot trials before commercial launch.

  • Support manufacturing launches of new products, including the preparation of experimental samples for external research partners.

  • Partner with Operations and Industrialization teams to drive process improvements and prepare technical documentation for quality and safety.

  • Validate raw materials and adjust formulations to ensure compliance and optimize performance.

  • Provide technical expertise to R&D, Quality, Regulatory, Manufacturing, and Commercial teams.

  • Operate a variety of processing equipment (e.g., mixers, mills, weighing systems).

Laboratory Management & Safety

  • Oversee laboratory operations, ensuring proper equipment maintenance and compliance with good laboratory practices.

  • Ensure safe chemical handling and PPE usage, developing SOPs in collaboration with the Safety Officer.

  • Maintain adequate inventory of raw materials, chemicals, and active ingredients, working closely with Procurement.

  • Occasionally handle larger product quantities (e.g., 50 lb bags).

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate formulation records in line with global R&D requirements.

  • Prepare reports and present findings regularly to international teams and management through written updates, presentations, and virtual meetings.


Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Chemistry or related field (PhD a plus).

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in agricultural product formulation and development.

  • Strong knowledge of plant nutrition, biostimulant, and/or biological formulations.

  • Familiarity with agrochemical applications and general agricultural practices.

  • Hands-on experience with FTIR, ICP, LC/LCMS, GC, and CHN/S analyses preferred.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English; Spanish or Portuguese is an advantage.

  • Proven ability to deliver results within a matrix organization and collaborate effectively with international teams.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SharePoint.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills, with high attention to detail.

  • Resilient, proactive, and collaborative mindset.

  • Willingness to travel locally and occasionally internationally.
