Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement growth strategies to expand our presence across the U.S. and Canadian agricultural markets.
- Drive strategic partnership initiatives, including but not limited to in-licensing, out-licensing, supply agreements, and collaborative projects, to expand business opportunities.
- Support senior leadership in defining and executing strategic business initiatives through clear communication and actionable insights.
- Lead partner development with national and regional distributors co-ops, and private label customers.
- Identify, negotiate, and execute strategic alliances, distribution agreements, and potential M&A opportunities.
- Collaborate with regulatory, R&D, marketing, and operations teams to align on launch plans and capacity.
- Own the revenue funnel, forecasting, market segmentation, and performance tracking across business development initiatives.
- Represent the company at a senior level with external stakeholders, including industry associations and regulatory bodies.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Proven ability to lead complex negotiations, build strategic partnerships, and scale business units.
- Deep understanding of North American ag distribution networks, channel dynamics, and crop-specific requirements.
- Strong leadership, financial acumen, and a growth mindset.
- Experience in biocontrol, bionutrition, or biologicals.
- Exposure to post-acquisition integration or launching in new markets.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Agribusiness, Crop Science, MBA, or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years’ experience in the agricultural industry with direct responsibility for business development and increasing leadership responsibilities.
- Strong understanding of business development practices within the context of agriculture.
- Experience in licensing technologies a plus.
