Mission:

Organize and ensure the correct registration and processing of accounting data and control of tax and legal obligations of companies, providing useful, credible and timely information for decision-making.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with the accounting closing and reporting schedule defined by the Group Supervision and review of the monthly accounting closing and the respective financial statements of the Group companies in Portugal
  • Definition/optimization of work methods and processes in the area, as well as in the interconnection with other areas of the companies (Management Control, Procurement, Accounts Receivable, and Treasury)
  • Responsible for interconnecting with the IT team, namely in terms of optimizing/altering SAP ERP in order to ensure correct financial recognition of transactions and optimize task execution times
  • Monitoring the statutory audit work in accordance with the SNC regulations and for the Group (according to the international standard-IFRS) in connection with the respective internal and external entities
  • Responsible for the process of preparing the statutory ABDR's
  • Responsible for complying with tax obligations and for managing the Dossier of documentation and support for transfer pricing in connection with the Group's Tax Planning Tax Area and respective tax consultants
  • Monitoring of tax inspections in connection with the Tax Authority and tax consultants

 

The talent we are looking for:

  • Degree in Accounting, Management, Finance or Economics
  • Certified Accountant
  • Minimum of 5 years experience, preferably in an industrial environment, also valuing experience in Big Four; Big Four experience is strongly preferred or required
  • Solid knowledge in national SNC and international IFRS standards
  • Solid experience in Portuguese Tax (IVA, IRC, withholding taxes, transfer pricing)
  • Knowledge of English (spoken and written) and preferably Spanish (spoken and written)
  • Experience in SAP and Microsoft Office; Experience in SAP improvements, configuration or process optimization
  • Analytical, relational and resilient profile, with strong adaptability and experience in team management; Critical thinking, resilience, communication, autonomy, stakeholder management
  • Critical capacity in the performance of their duties and in connection with the Group's practices and ability to work under pressure
  • Customer focus, agility, proactivity, team spirit, autonomy in problem solving and organization
  • Team leadership responsibilities
  • Good communication skills, interpersonal skills and influence
