Mission:

Preparation, organization, recording, and processing of accounting data, as well as collaborating on other tasks inherent to the area in order to contribute to a useful, credible, and timely monthly accounting closing and respective reporting obligations to support decision-making.

 

Responsibilities: 

• Support the Certified Public Accountant in monthly accounting closings, executing the activities defined in the checklist implemented in the Group and within the defined monthly closing calendar;

• Ensure individual responsibility for accounting entries, reconciliations, account reviews, and validation of transactions for each of the companies under their responsibility;

• Ensure individual responsibility for each of the tax and regulatory obligations of each of the companies under their responsibility, namely VAT, calculation of withholding tax, stamp duty, recapitulative statement, intrastat, model 30, obtaining tax residence certificates and RFI forms for entities not resident in Portugal and other recurring matters;

• Ensure the preparation of annual taxes, namely form 22, IES and form 10;

• Reconciliation of third-party and Group company accounts (intercompany) and respective accounting adjustments;

• Support for External Audit and preparation of financial statements and their annexes;

• Contribute to compliance with applicable tax and legal requirements, namely obtaining tax residency certificates and RFI forms for non-resident entities in Portugal;

• Optimization of accounts payable backlog;

• Support in fulfilling other accounting closing and reporting processes that are the responsibility of the area to which it belongs.

 

The talent we are looking for: 

• Degree in Economics, Finance, Administration or related fields;

• Professional experience in the accounting area in a company in an industrial environment or in a Consulting/Auditing firm (3 years);

• Knowledge of Financial Reporting Standards;

• Technical knowledge in taxation; Basic knowledge of analytical accounting;

• Proficient English and Spanish (plus);

• Knowledge of SAP S/4 HANA;

• Knowledge of Excel and Power BI (plus);

• Analytical and detail-oriented skills;

• High sense of responsibility and collaboration;

• Strong organizational and process adaptation skills;

• Ability to work in a team both in person and remotely in a culturally diverse environment;

• Good adaptability to a changing business environment.
