Ascenza is the crop Protection branch, a benchmark independent player in the off-patented South-European, Brazilian and Mexican markets, with a leading position in Iberia.
Mission:
Responsible for preparing ecotoxicological risk assessments for the registration and renewal of Active Substances and Plant Protection Products, in compliance with established regulatory requirements. This role involves close collaboration with internal units such as Innovation, GLP Laboratories, R&D, and Product Safety, as well as external entities.
Ensure timely delivery of all required documentation according to agreed deadlines with management.
Responsibilities:
- Technical Documentation: Prepare technical documents and dossiers according to legal and internal requirements, and follow up until approval by regulatory authorities;
- Study Management: Request, monitor, and evaluate laboratory, field, and semi-field studies, as well as other work necessary for document preparation, both internally and externally;
- Compliance & Deadlines: Ensure adherence to deadlines for assigned responsibilities and tasks, and comply with all identified legal obligations;
- Quality Assurance: Guarantee the highest possible quality of work and ensure proper storage and management of all information and documentation according to company procedures;
- Collaboration: Work closely with all units within the Product Safety, Regulatory, and R&D departments, as well as external entities, when required;
- Problem-Solving: Identify and propose solutions for issues arising during task execution;
- Continuous Improvement: Alert colleagues and supervisors in case of deviations and propose corrective actions. Suggest training initiatives and identify potential areas for growth to expand internal competencies aligned with company objectives
The talent we are looking for:
- Master Degree in Environmental Sciences, Biology, Toxicology, Chemistry, or related field;
- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of ecotoxicology principles and regulatory frameworks (EU PPP Regulation, REACH, OECD guidelines);
- Familiarity with risk assessment methodologies and modeling tools;
- Experience: Previous experience [ 1-2 years] or internship in ecotoxicology, regulatory affairs, or product safety is an advantage;
- Good written and verbal communication in English;
- Knowledge of biostatistics [desirable skill];
- Strong analytical and problem-solving.
