Environment & Ecotox Safety Coordinator

Ascenza is the crop Protection branch, a benchmark independent player in the off-patented South-European, Brazilian and Mexican markets, with a leading position in Iberia.
Mission:
Coordinate the team responsible for preparing regulatory dossiers in the areas of environment and ecotoxicology, ensuring compliance with Regulation (EC) 1107/2009 and applicable European guidelines. Lead specialists in ecotoxicological and environmental assessment, ensuring technical quality, adherence to deadlines, and continuous improvement of processes.
Responsibilities:
Management and Leadership:
- Coordinate and develop the team of specialists in ecotoxicology and environment.
- Identify training needs and promote technical development.
- Ensure alignment with ASCENZA strategic objectives and foster critical thinking and collaboration.
Planning and Supervision:
- Plan and monitor the preparation of regulatory dossiers (Active Substances and Plant Protection Products).
- Supervise assessment reports and ensure compliance with deadlines.
- Organize follow-up meetings on guidelines, regulations, and new requirements.
Regulatory Interface:
- Ensure compliance with Regulation (EC) 1107/2009 and European guidelines.
- Capture specific requirements of each country and ensure continuous improvement of dossiers.
The talent we are looking for:
- Master's degree in Biology, Environmental Engineering/Agronomics or similar (e.g. zoology, Ecotoxicology or Ecology);
- Proven experience in ecotoxicological and/or environmental assessment, in a European regulatory context;
- Experience in leading multidisciplinary technical teams is valuable;
- Proficient English. Spanish, French or German (plus);
- Computer skills from the user's perspective.
