Your mission:
We are looking for someone with experience in dealing with different agronomical crops, and background in Agronomy, to set up, monitor and assess experimental trials in lab scale, greenhouse (mainly) and open field, for R&D purposes, under the Biocontrol and Adjuvants scope.
Your responsibilities:
- Plan, set up and monitor experimental trials in greenhouse to assess R&D products efficacy under the biocontrol scope.
- Create and optimize protocols for the trials to be performed in the greenhouse.
- Collect data from the trials, assess their statistical relevance, retrieve their biological significance and elaborate reports
- Develop and apply trial protocols with model crops, and combinations with selected PPP, to test different types of adjuvant properties, taking advantage of the phenotyping installation
- Develop and apply trial protocols with model crops/pests to test different types of biocontrol products
- Use and develop different methods to artificially inoculate different crops with different microorganisms to test R&D products under the biocontrol scope.
- Optimize, validate and calibrate the data obtained through the phenotyping installation.
- Plant rearing, growing and maintenance.
- Organize and maintain the greenhouse research facilities.
- Develop in vitro/in planta validation trials to test potential new A.I.s.
The Talent we are looking for:
- Academic degree in Agronomy, Botany, Plant Biology or similar.
- Professional experience as a greenhouse / field trialist.
- Hands-on experience in setting up trials, collecting relevant data and assessing the effects of different plant pathogens.
- Hands on experience with agricultural techniques and plant maintenance.
- Experience in microbial artificial inoculation of crops.
- Knowledge and experience in phenotyping technologies is a plus.
- Experience with statistical analysis is a plus.
- Ability to rapidly learn and adapt to new methods, tasks and protocols.
- Strong organizational skills.
