Your Mission:

 

Responsible to provide effective Health, Safety and Environment leadership in the site, leading processes and procedures that promote a positive safety culture which result in an injury free and healthy workplace and improve the environmental impact of the site , based in Sanchidrián, Ávila.

Enable the site to comply with applicable laws, regulation, industry best practice. Lead the site implementation of Corporate Policies and Standards, and to support the development of policies and standards for the group in order to ensure the well-being of the employees, the safety of individual behaviour, equipment and facilities.

 

 

Your Responsabilities:

 

  • To lead Health, Safety and Environment of the site.
  • To implement Rovensa's Health and Safety Vision and corporate strategy in line with the local business activity plan, supporting them in building local strategies;
  • To monitor and communicate corporate KPIs and define local KPIs for Health, Safety & Environment
  • To develop and implement Behavioural Safety programmes locally in coordination with business and management disseminating it to all employees;
  • Responsible for being up to date with new legislation and maintaining a working knowledge of all Health, Safety and Environment legislation and any developments that affect the site
  • To identify and meet employee training needs in relation to health, safety and environment and develop and deliver training sessions for managers and frontline employees;
  • To lead and maintain contractor safety and environment effort; assist in development of contractor work plans and monitor their compliance;
  • To carry out safety preventive observations, audits to evaluate the effectiveness of Health and Safety behaviours, systems and procedures, and identify and implement improvements;
  • To manage the collection, storage and analysis of accident and other health and safety data and to produce management reports, identify trends and recommend action;
  • To investigate or, where appropriate, to assist others to investigate the circumstances and causes of accidents and take necessary steps to prevent a recurrence, including keeping written records of the investigation and action taken;
  • To define and implement emergency response actions, ensuring that drills are carried out involving also external authorities;
  • To ensure safe equipment in accordance with regulation and policies
  • To coordinate the Health External service
  • To reduce environmental footprint improving process, behaviours and materials of the site
  • To coordinate waste management of the site.

 

 

The Talent We are looking for:

 

  • Engineering ’s degree or equivalent.
  • 5 years HSE experience, preferably in manufacturing / chemical industry;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organisational abilities.
  • Capable of making operational decisions and escalating strategic ones.
  • Skilled in managing multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Comfortable working in a multicultural environment.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish; Portuguese is a plus.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills; able to simplify and clearly convey technical information.
  • Detail-focused and proactive in resolving issues using initiative and research.
  • Resilient, adaptable, flexible, proactive and open-minded.
