POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking a Regional Director of Operations and Supply Chain to lead the strategy and execution of manufacturing operations across North America, ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, productivity, service, and operational excellence.

This position will be responsible for leading regional manufacturing operations, HSE, quality, logistics, procurement, planning, and distribution activities while ensuring alignment with the company's global business strategy. The role will also lead operational transformation, digitalization, cost optimization, acquisition integration, and organizational development initiatives to support the region's sustainable growth.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in Operations, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field.
• Fluent English required | Spanish and/or Portuguese highly desirable.
• Master's degree (MBA or equivalent) strongly preferred.
• 12 to 15 years of progressive experience in Operations and/or Supply Chain leadership roles with regional or global responsibilities.
  • Proven experience leading manufacturing, planning, procurement, sourcing, logistics, and distribution operations.
  • Demonstrated success leading operational transformation, cost optimization, and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Experience in industrial manufacturing, life sciences, chemicals, agribusiness, or related industries.
  • Experience with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing, Lean Six Sigma, or similar programs.
  • Experience leading organizational change, transformation initiatives, and post-acquisition integrations.
  • Significant experience working across North America; Latin America experience is a plus.
• Excellent executive communication, negotiation, and organizational influence skills.
• Knowledge of ERP platforms, advanced planning tools, and operational and supply chain analytics systems.
  • Knowledge of safety, quality, regulatory compliance, and sustainability standards.
• Ability to manage KPIs, operational metrics, and governance processes.
  • Operate with a high degree of autonomy and accountability in complex environments.
  • Balance strategic vision with hands-on operational leadership.
  • Lead teams and organizations through growth, uncertainty, and transformation.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead and oversee all regional operations across North America, including Health, Safety and Environment (HSE), demand and supply planning, internal and external manufacturing, quality assurance, procurement, supplier management, logistics, distribution, and warehousing.
• Ensure alignment between North American operations and the organization's global Operations and Supply Chain strategy.
• Translate corporate objectives into regional operational priorities and execution plans.
• Define, monitor, and review key performance indicators related to safety, service, cost, quality, inventory, and operational efficiency.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity, reliability, operational efficiency, and service levels.
• Establish governance processes, performance review routines, and corrective action mechanisms across the region.
• Identify and implement productivity and cost optimization initiatives across manufacturing, procurement, logistics, and inventory management.
• Balance operational efficiency, cost control, and service excellence to support profitable business growth.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, capacity planning, and long-term supply network planning across the region.
• Act as a strategic business partner to Commercial, Finance, Quality, Research & Development, Customer Care, Human Resources, and Information Technology teams.
• Ensure operational readiness for new product launches, commercial growth initiatives, and market expansion efforts.
• Collaborate closely with Global Supply Chain, Procurement, and Digital/IT teams to implement and sustain global initiatives at the regional level.
• Lead or support the implementation of digital solutions for Operations and Supply Chain, including ERP systems, planning tools, advanced analytics, and automation.
• Drive process standardization and harmonization across North America while complying with local regulatory and operational requirements.
• Promote data-driven decision making and improve end-to-end supply chain visibility and transparency.
• Identify and mitigate supply, operational, logistics, and geopolitical risks affecting North American operations.
• Strengthen business continuity, crisis response, and supplier resilience capabilities.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, regulatory, and sustainability standards.
• Play a key leadership role in post-acquisition integration activities across North America.
• Lead the integration of operational processes, systems, governance structures, and teams into the regional and global operating model.
• Lead, develop, and strengthen high-performing regional and local teams.
• Build leadership capabilities, succession plans, and organizational depth across critical functions.
• Foster a culture of accountability, safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
