Deformulation Lab Analyst

Ascenza is the crop Protection branch, a benchmark independent player in the off-patented South-European, Brazilian and Mexican markets, with a leading position in Iberia.

 

 

Mission:

  • Carry out and support the activities developed in the Deformulation Laboratory

 

Responsibilities:

  • Receive, check and identify samples for analysis in accordance with the plan
  • Prepare samples for defined tests (physical-chemical tests)
  • Perform chromatographic analyses (methods already in routine)
  • Record and report any occurrences during sample preparation and test performance that may in any way affect the results
  • Ensure the proper functioning of equipment and report to the Laboratory Coordinator any anomalies and/or need for external intervention
  • Identify, seek and propose solutions to problems arising during the performance of tasks
  • Perform physical characterization of agrochemical formulations in accordance with analysis procedures
  • Update the databases of co-formulants and active substances
  • Perform physical-chemical characterization of co-formulants
  • Perform and ensure order tracking
  • Manage the laboratory's stock of reagents and consumables
  • Monitor stability tests on samples of formulated product and active substance

 

The talent we are looking for:

  • Technical analysis course or equivalent
  • Knowledge of microcomputing from a user's perspective
  • Knowledge of English (spoken and written)
  • Basic knowledge of agrochemical formulation and physical-chemical characterization with a view to analyzing formulated products and active substances
  • Basic knowledge of quality management systems and related general environmental, safety and R&D techniques
  • Knowledge of CIPAC methods and FAO specifications
