Credit Control Specialist

Ascenza is the crop Protection branch, a benchmark independent player in the off-patented South-European, Brazilian and Mexican markets, with a leading position in Iberia.
Mission:
To ensure a rigorous and well-founded assessment of clients' credit risk, guaranteeing balanced decisions that protect the company, promote sustainable business relationships, and comply with all legal regulations and internal policies.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate customer credit applications
- Review financial history, credit reports, and risk indicators
- Update credit limits based on payment behavior and financial changes
- Flag critical cases to the manager
- Work with sales and collections teams to approve applications and resolve pending issues and/or clarifications
- Analyze data using advanced Excel tools, Power Queries, and BI
- Ensure compliance with legal standards and internal policies and the confidentiality of customer financial data
The talent we are looking for:
- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Management, or similar
- At least 3 years of similar professional experience
- Ability to interpret balance sheets, statements, and indicators
- Advanced Excel skills, SAP (plus), credit analysis software (plus), intelligent data analysis (BI)
- Ability to assess risks and support informed decision-making
- Ability to interact clearly with internal teams in different languages, such as English (mandatory) and Spanish (plus)
- Organization and attention to detail
- Availability for a temporary project (predictably 6 months)
